Bourbon Sidecar

The Bourbon Sidecar replaces the traditional cognac of the original Sidecar with American bourbon, giving this Prohibition-era classic a distinctly American character. Where cognac brings grape-based elegance, bourbon contributes notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. Combined with triple sec and fresh lemon juice, it’s a cocktail that balances sweet, sour, and spirit in equal measure. The Sidecar’s name reportedly comes from an American army captain who arrived at a Parisian bar in the sidecar of a motorcycle — a fitting origin for a drink that has always been about bold arrivals.
