French 75 (Cognac)

There's something satisfying about a well-made French 75 (Cognac). This celebratory version uses cognac, lemon juice, and sugar for a result that's greater than the sum of its parts.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz cognac
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 6 oz Champagne

Instructions

  1. Combine cognac, sugar and lemon juice in shaker.
  2. Add ice and shake till chilled.
  3. Pour into champagne flute.
  4. Pour champagne over cognac concoction.
  5. Garnish with lemon curl.

Serve In

Champagne Flute
