Lassi Raita

Lassi Raita bridges the gap between a traditional Indian yoghurt drink and the savory raita condiment. Yoghurt is blended with ice, a touch of sugar, and lime, creating a cool, tangy beverage that pairs perfectly with spicy food. A staple across South Asian cuisine.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups yoghurt
  • 4 – 6 ice cubes
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • limes
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Blend the yoghurt and ice cubes together, until the yoghurt becomes more liquid.
  2. Add sugar to taste.
  3. The lemon/lime is optional but it gives it a slightly tart taste.
  4. Add a dash of salt.
  5. Raita is also good for the summer.
  6. Instead of having a traditional salad you can make raita instead.
