A tantalizing recipe for Picadilly Punch made with lemons, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, ruby port and cognac.
Ingredients:
2 lemons
12 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 grated nutmeg
1 cup sugar
2 cups ruby port
750 ml cognac
Method:
Peel lemons and stud with cloves. Simmer lemons in a pan along with the other ingredients. Ignite some cognac and pour into the pan. Extinguish with the rest of the cognac.
Serves about 10.
