The Tango Cocktail is a pre-Prohibition classic that brings together gin, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth, triple sec, and orange juice. The combination of both vermouths makes this a ‘Perfect’ style cocktail, while the orange juice and triple sec add a bright citrus layer. It first appeared in cocktail books in the early 1900s and was popular in the dance halls and ballrooms that gave it its name. A well-balanced, aromatic cocktail with surprising depth for its era.
