A gratifying recipe for Pineapple Julep made with mint, pineapple, simple syrup and bourbon whiskey.
Ingredients:
4 fresh mint sprigs
3 ripe pineapple wedges
1 oz simple syrup
2 oz bourbon whiskey
Method:
Muddle the leaves from two sprigs of mint made with the pineapple wedges and simply syrup, in a mixing glass. Add bourbon and ice, and shake well. Strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice, and stir well until frosted. Garnish with two further mint sprigs, and serve.
