Claret Punch

Next time someone asks what to make, hand them this Claret Punch recipe — Bright and citrus-forward, satisfying, and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups lemon juice
  • 1 cup superfine sugar
  • 2.25 liters (3 bottles) claret
  • 12 oz brandy
  • 4 oz apricot brandy
  • 4 oz bourbon whiskey
  • 8 oz Cointreau® orange liqueur
  • 1 qt club soda
  • 2 cups cold tea
  • 3 sliced oranges

Instructions

  1. Stir the lemon juice and sugar togeher in a large punch bowl until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the claret, brandy, apricot brandy, bourbon whiskey, Cointreau, club soda and cold tea.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Add one large block of ice, then add orange slices.
  5. Makes 30 (6-ounce) punch cups.
