Wedding Bell Punch

The Wedding Bell Punch is a herbaceous drink that balances 2 liters dry red wine, bourbon whiskey, and anejo rum beautifully. Served in a Punch Bowl, it's the kind of recipe you'll come back to.

Ingredients

  • 2 liters dry red wine
  • 16 oz bourbon whiskey
  • 12 oz anejo rum
  • 8 oz sweet vermouth
  • 4 oz creme de cacao
  • 187 ml chilled Champagne
  • 16 oz club soda
  • 16 oz ginger ale
  • 2 cups lemon juice
  • 1 cup superfine sugar
  • 2 pints hulled, quartered strawberries
  • 2 sliced oranges

Instructions

  1. Stir the lemon juice and sugar together in a large punch bowl until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the bourbon, rum, creme de cacao, champagne, red wine, vermouth, club soda and ginger ale.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Add one large block of ice.
  5. Garnish with orange slices and strawberries.
  6. Makes 32 (6-ounce) punch cups.
