The Coffee Royale does one thing well: creamy with a warming edge. Made with hot coffee, granulated sugar, and brandy.

Ingredients

4 oz hot coffee
1 tsp granulated sugar
2 oz brandy
2 oz heavy cream

Instructions

Pour the coffee into an Irish coffee cup or glass.
Add the sugar, and stir to dissolve.
Add the brandy, stir again.
Pour the cream over the back of a teaspoon over the top of the drink so that it floats, and serve.
