Pineapple Julep

A stiff drink anchored by rich whiskey, the Pineapple Julep blends 4 fresh mint sprigs, 3 ripe pineapple wedges and 1 oz simple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh mint sprigs
  • 3 ripe pineapple wedges
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz bourbon whiskey

Instructions

  1. Muddle the leaves from two sprigs of mint made with the pineapple wedges and simply syrup, in a mixing glass.
  2. Add bourbon and ice, and shake well.
  3. Strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice, and stir well until frosted.
  4. Garnish with two further mint sprigs, and serve.
