Blackberry Tequila

Tequila, crème de cassis, and lemon juice shaken and poured into a highball. The cassis — a blackcurrant liqueur — darkens the tequila and adds a deep berry sweetness that the lemon juice cuts through cleanly. A French-Mexican mash-up that works better than it should.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz tequila
  • 2 oz creme de cassis
  • 1 oz lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pour tequila, creme de cassis and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Pour contents into a highball glass, and serve.
