There's something satisfying about a well-made Fancy Free. This bright and citrus-forward version uses rye whiskey, es maraschino liqueur, and orange bitters for a result that's greater than the sum of its parts.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz rye whiskey
- 2 dashes maraschino liqueur
- 1 dash orange bitters
- 1 dash Angostura® bitters
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp powdered sugar
Instructions
- Coat the rim of a cocktail glass with lemon juice and powdered sugar.
- Pour the rye whiskey, maraschino liqueur, orange bitters and Angostura bitters into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Strain into the sugar-rimmed cocktail glass, and serve.
