Named in the spirit of the original Hurricane — the legendary tiki cocktail created by Pat O’Brien at his eponymous New Orleans bar during the 1940s — Hurricane Laura is a streamlined tropical pour built on Bacardi dark rum. Passion fruit juice provides the drink’s signature tropical sweetness, while grenadine adds depth of color and a touch of pomegranate, and orange juice rounds out the fruit base. It’s a simplified hurricane that’s easier to make at home than the original multi-rum, multi-juice classic, but still delivers that same lush, fruit-forward punch.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Bacardi® dark rum
- 1 oz passion-fruit juice
- 1/2 oz grenadine syrup
- 1/2 oz orange juice
