Lassi – Sweet

The classic sweet lassi — yoghurt, cold water, sugar, salt, and lemon juice blended until frothy. The pinch of salt is essential: it enhances the yoghurt’s flavor and balances the sweetness. Served cold, it’s the traditional accompaniment to spicy South Asian cuisine.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup yoghurt
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients in a blender until nice and frothy.
  2. Serve chilled.
