There's something satisfying about a well-made Stout Sangaree. This warming with a bite version uses ruby port, stout, and superfine sugar for a result that's greater than the sum of its parts.
Ingredients
- 1 oz ruby port
- 12 oz stout
- 2 tsp superfine sugar
- 2 tsp water
- 1 pinch grated nutmeg
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Dissolve the sugar in the water in the bottom of a beer mug.
- Carefully pour the stout to give a half-inch head.
- Float the port on top.
- Garnish with a dusting of nutmeg and cinnamon, and serve.
