A gratifying recipe for Strain the Rein made with light rum, raspberry liqueur, Cointreau® orange liqueur, lemon juice, sugar and lime.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz light rum
1/2 oz raspberry liqueur
1 tsp Cointreau® orange liqueur
1 oz lemon juice
3 tsp superfine sugar
1 lime wedge
Method:
Rub the rim of a cocktail glass with a lime wedge and dip into a flat bowl of sugar (2 tsp) in order to thoroughly coat the rim. Discard the lime shell. Pour the rum, raspberry liqueur, Cointreau, lemon juice and a teaspoon of sugar into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, strain into the cocktail glass, and serve.
