Strain the Rein

This tart recipe combines 1 1/2 oz light rum, 1/2 oz raspberry liqueur and 1 tsp Cointreau® orange liqueur into a Advanced-to-make drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz light rum
  • 1/2 oz raspberry liqueur
  • 1 tsp Cointreau® orange liqueur
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 3 tsp superfine sugar
  • 1 lime wedge

Instructions

  1. Rub the rim of a cocktail glass with a lime wedge and dip into a flat bowl of sugar (2 tsp) in order to thoroughly coat the rim.
  2. Discard the lime shell.
  3. Pour the rum, raspberry liqueur, Cointreau, lemon juice and a teaspoon of sugar into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes.
  4. Shake well, strain into the cocktail glass, and serve.
