Frank Davis Punch

Next time someone asks what to make, hand them this Frank Davis Punch recipe — Sparkling and elegant, satisfying, and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter gold tequila
  • 1.5 liters (2 bottles) chilled Champagne
  • 3 liters (4 bottles) chilled Sauternes white wine
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup superfine sugar
  • 1 large honeydew melon

Instructions

  1. Stir the lemon juice and sugar together in a large punch bowl until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the tequila, champagne and sauternes, and stir well.
  3. Add one large block of ice.
  4. Garnish with melon balls, cut out from a honeydew melon.
  5. Makes 36 (6-ounce) punch cups.
